Because music has always been an important ministry at Guildwood Community Presbyterian Church, we are excited to announce our Anniversary Concert Series which features the following:
VARIATIONS
On Saturday, February 27, 2010, 7:30 p.m., Michelle Kettrick, soprano, Tom Doherty, tenor, Mark Ruhnke, baritone, Rick Humphrey, piano and tenor, and Carmine Lappano, piano and tenor, combine to present solos and duets from the world of opera, musicals, and art in this varied concert. Come and hear Bach’s Concerto in D Minor played on two grand pianos. Part of the proceeds from this concert will go to support Inter-Christian Health Ministries.
SOUNDS OF THE SCHOLARS
On Saturday, June 19, 2010, 8:00 p.m., come enjoy the impeccable blend and beautiful sound of the Victoria Scholars, all alumni of the prestigious St. Michael’s Choir School. The repertoire of this male vocal ensemble, directed by Jerzy Cichocki and accompanied by Bill O’Meara, ranges as far back as Gregorian chants through to contemporary stylings.
THE HARP PLUS
Lori Gemmell, principal harpist with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra, and her husband, CBC’s Tom Allen, present an evening of harp music and poetry reading on Saturday, October 16, 2010, 7:30 p.m.
SING WITH JOY
And finally, begin the Christmas season with joyous sounds, as the Bach Children’s Chorus under the direction of Linda Beaupré and accompanied by Eleanor Daley are joined by the choir of Guildwood Community Presbyterian Church directed and accompanied by Carmine Lappano for a special choir evening on Saturday, November 27, 2010, 7:30 p.m.

For an additional $15, you can join us on Saturday, May 15th, 7:30 p.m. for a ringing good time as two bell choirs combine to present a dazzling night of handbell ringing. The local Bells of Guildwood are joined for their annual concert by the special 50th Anniversary Reunion Bell Choir and soloist heather keith.
