Rev. Moon’s Message for April 9, 2023

Dear friends,

“The Resurrection” (1542–1544) by Venetian painter Titian (1490–1576); from the collection of the Ducal Palace, Urbino; taken from the Wikimedia Commons.

During the Holy Week, we remember Jesus who participates in our human suffering and dying. We remember God who cries when we cry. And on Easter Sunday, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and ours. Please, come and celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ with us!

  • Tonight, Thursday, April 6 is the Maundy Thursday Soup supper at 6 PM, and the Tenebrae Service at 7 PM.
  • Friday, April 7, the Good Friday service starts at 10 AM.
  • Sunday, April 9, at 6:40 AM, the Sunrise Service is at Guildwood Park.
  • Sunday, April 9, at 11 AM, we hold our Easter Sunday Service. The Bells of Guildwood perform, and we welcome new members (Joseph, Soosan, and Colton) to the congregation (by Profession of Faith), when we all have an opportunity to renew our commitment to God and to each other.
